Job summary: Learning List is seeking subject matter experts (SMEs) to review instructional materials for the Career and Technology Education (CTE) courses listed in the Appendix.
Summary of essential job functions: Working in collaboration with Learning List’s Director of Alignment, produce an alignment verification by reviewing the citations listed in the publisher's correlation to verify the product's alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for the applicable CTE course. Upon completing the alignment verification, SMEs will be asked to complete a survey and participate in an interview with a Learning List editorial review writer to discuss the product's distinguishing features and functionality in more detail.
Education and experience required:Learning List’s SMEs are experienced, certified educators who meet the following criteria and have prior standards-alignment experience:
• Must have a secondary teacher certification and any additional training TEA requires for the particular CTE course;
• Must have at least five years of teaching experience;
• Must have experience teaching or have participated in the development of the TEKS for the relevant CTE course;
• Cannot have been employed by a publisher or K-12 online content provider for at least the prior two years.
Minimum job requirements: SMEs must have experience with detail-oriented tasks, access to a computer with high-speed Internet connectivity, and simultaneous access to two monitors/screens. Hours are flexible.
Abilities required: SMEs must possess excellent reading and analytical skills and have considerable experience using online courses or online instructional materials. SMEs must have the ability to work from home, follow written guidance explicitly, and complete each assignment within the specified timeframe.

Wage
SMEs are independent contractors who are paid on an hourly basis for completed assignments.
